There are all sorts of protests going on right now. Many are an off-shoot of Occupy Wall Street. Unfortunately what is supposed to be a set of peaceful protests is turning into a battle between peaceful citizen protesters and the police and local government.
I will NOT bad mouth police in general. Police, soldiers, fire fighters, etc. These are the people who help keep our country safe. Help to protect the freedoms we enjoy as U.S. citizens. Unfortunately there ARE bad apples, and unfortunately there are situation where inappropriate orders are given. I think this is one of those cases:
Like I said, I'm not going to bad mouth police in general, but what is going on with the occupy wall street protest right now is not okay.
There are a lot of things troubling our country right now and I believe that if we want to keep the freedoms and liberties we hold dear we have to make a stand. We have to let the government and the big corporations running our country know that we have voices, and that they will be heard. I don't think I know I'm not alone in this thought. That's why there are so many protests starting up.
If you want to be part of the change and add to voices calling for peace and solidarity there is another peaceful protest coming up. A world wide call for change.
